I worked as a Production Coordinator for the first 6 months where my responsibilities included liaising with clients on a monthly basis to get artwork for the design team to process, flat planning the layout of the magazine, liaising with the sales team, editor and director to ensure everyone was happy with the layout, liaising with the printers for production schedules, creating invoices and sending out magazines to clients and customers.
After just 6 months I gained a promotion to Junior Designer where my responsibilities included designing adverts for clients with varying briefs, processing artwork sent in by clients, designing digital and print marketing and promotional campaigns for various companies, designing page layouts for magazines and designing page layouts for newspapers.
I also managed the marketing for the clients we had which involved keeping track of the production status, liaising with clients and printers, going to weekly meetings with managers and directors to update them and ensuring designs met their print deadlines. I created presentations for company events throughout the year. I also photographed various events and commercial jobs for both the magazine and newspaper.
